To Manage DNS Records at Shricloud:
To manage DNS records at Shricloud, go to the Domains section and click on the Manage button, or on the ellipsis and select Manage:
If your domain is purchased elsewhere (other than Shricloud) and pointing to Shricloud nameservers, you’ll find it in the External domains section below My Domains.
Then, select the DNS / Nameservers from the left sidebar:
NOTE
-
If the external domain is pointed elsewhere (not to Shricloud) by nameservers, the domain’s DNS zone management is moved to the provider you pointed the domain to and should be managed from there
At the top of the DNS / Nameservers section, there are four main tabs: DNS records, Child nameservers, DNSSEC and DNS History:
The availability of setting up child nameservers and DNSSEC may vary depending on the domain’s TLD 💡
Manage DNS Records
If you choose DNS records, you will reach the DNS zone management, where you can add, edit and delete records:
Add Record
To create a new record, enter the values for type, name, content, TTL (based on record type, you may need to fill in other information as well). Once it’s done, click on Add Record:
Edit or Delete Records
You can consult the full list of DNS records for your domain below the Add record option, and use the search bar to find a specific record. You will have the option to delete or edit the record to the right:
-
Delete a record
-
Modify the record’s values
Any DNS Record changes trigger propagation, which can last up to 24 hours to propagate. If you change the domain’s nameservers to a different provider, the DNS Zone management will move to where you pointed your nameservers.
Restore Records
To restore your DNS zone to a previous version, select the DNS History tab and click on Restore next to the date for which you want to roll back any DNS changes:
Verify that these are the records you want to use to fully replace the current values, scroll down and mark the checkbox to accept that restoring DNS may affect your current website and that it will require some time for the changes to apply.
Once all is good to go, click on the Restore DNS zone and, once propagation is completed, your DNS records will be restored.
If you are still able to not do it contact us.
