To Configure An FTP client:
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. Using an FTP client is a method to upload, download, and manage files on your server.
1) Login to your Shricloud Account
2) Access control panel
3) Once in control panel, look Under Files and click FTP Accounts

4) Once in the FTP Accounts page, you can add an FTP account or Configure an FTP Client.
*When adding a FTP user, the default directory path will be the domain you choose in the drop down and the ‘username’ you are creating. If you need your FTP user to access a specific directory, be sure to backspace out the directory to be ‘exactly’ what you wish the FTP user to access. Otherwise by default it will add a directory of the user in the given domain folder.
Since the purpose of this tutorial is to show you how to configure an FTP client, we’re going to do that.
5) Scroll down where it says Special FTP Accounts. We’re going to click Configure FTP Client for our “yousupp,” which is our main account.

After we click that, we’ll get the following Configuration Files for each program;
For our example website, we choose FileZilla and imported the (for Windows) FTP Configuration File on a Mac and it worked just fine. In a matter of seconds, we had access to FTP and were able to begin uploading.
Happy file managing!
For your convenience, we have provided more information about FTP clients:
In web hosting environments, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) clients integrated into control panels offer users a seamless and efficient way to manage files on their websites directly from the control panel interface. These integrated FTP clients streamline the process of uploading, downloading, and managing website files, providing users with a user-friendly interface, robust security features, and convenient access controls.
Advantage:
One of the primary advantages of FTP clients within control panels is their user-friendly interface. Designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, these interfaces allow users to access file management tools with just a few clicks. Whether users are beginners or experienced web developers, control panel-integrated FTP clients provide a straightforward way to manage website files without the need for standalone FTP client software.
Security:
Security is another critical aspect of FTP clients within control panels. These clients often support secure FTP protocols such as FTPS and SFTP, ensuring encrypted communication between the client and server. This enhances data security during file transfers, protecting sensitive information from unauthorized access or interception.
Control Features:
Access control features are also essential components of control panel-integrated FTP clients. Users can create and manage FTP accounts directly from the control panel interface, specifying which directories FTP accounts have access to and setting upload/download permissions. This granular control over file access helps users maintain the security of their websites and prevent unauthorized file modifications.
Furthermore, control panel FTP clients offer robust file management capabilities. Users can upload, download, delete, rename, and edit files directly from the control panel interface, simplifying the process of managing website files. Additionally, some clients provide features for file compression and decompression, allowing users to archive and extract files directly on the server.
Integration with other control panel features enhances the functionality of FTP clients. Users can seamlessly manage website files alongside other aspects of their web hosting environment, such as website management, domain management, database management, and email management. This integration provides users with a comprehensive set of tools for effectively managing their online presence.
Monitoring and logging capabilities are also included in control panel FTP clients, allowing users to track file transfer activities, view access logs, and monitor disk space usage. This helps users stay informed about their website’s performance and resource utilization, enabling them to make informed decisions about their hosting environment.
Overall, FTP clients within control panels offer users a convenient, secure, and feature-rich solution for managing website files and maintaining their online presence effectively. Whether users are managing personal blogs, business websites, or e-commerce stores, these integrated FTP clients provide the tools they need to succeed in the digital landscape.
